Claire Clifford Office Products presented Drumchapel United 19s with new football strips.
Drumchapel were making their home debut in their new strips sponsored by Claire Clifford office products and hoping to get a victory to make up for the disappointment of 2 weeks previous. Rob Roy started the brighter of the sides with maintaining most of the possession but failing to test Mark Wilson in goals however the Drum side managed to gain advantage against the run of play with Dylan Dastey being played through by the midfield to comfortably slot it past the helpless keeper. The match remained evenly played for the rest of the 1st half with Drumchapel making the more chances, most notably with Scott McFarlane heading over from very close range and Martin Seawright failing to capitalise on a great through ball with the Drum leading 1-0 at half time. Almost straight after half time the home team managed to double their advantage with Sean Byrne taking the defender wide and sliding the ball past keeper into the back of the net. The match remained tight with the Drum knowing simple mistakes could be costly, but with around 10 minutes left the Rob Roy striker somehow broke free after being a good few yards offside and tried to round the 'keeper which resulted in a penalty as the player fouled and Wilson lucky to stay on the park. However, he made up for his error by pulling off yet another penalty save for the season which seemed to spur on the home side as they broke free on the counter with Gareth May supplying Dastey for a simple tap in from the 6 yard box to seal the game and adding distance to the lead at the top.
